Re: The Roadster NA Journey Begins
Looking forward to seeing the wing progress.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Magpie wrote:To be honest I have a feeling that it is more an issue between the Haltech and the sensor than an unreliable OEM sensor. However the question is why is it just impacting my build, it is not as if this is the first time it has been done. The Haltech tech agreed with everything that has been done to date in eliminating potential issues, it has him stumped as well.
Anyway after getting home today started working on the suggested solution. Also noticed the dump pip I hit on the track put a nice ding in the splitter front edge! It would also appear that the splitter worked really well as I now have to make a much better front air dam between the splitter and the GV lip...
Getting off topic in my own thread...
Possible solution (as suggested by Haltech).
1. Get some revenge on a CAS sensor (after driving 12 hours this felt good)

2. Ever wondered what was inside a CAS sensor?

3. A much smaller CAS, it will never be the same again...

3. Drill hole in now destroyed CAS sensor to accept the Haltech part no. HT010610 http://www.haltech.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Haltech-Single-Channel-Hall-Effect-Sensor-HT010610.pdfDSCN2953 by Eipeip, on Flickr
Plan is to tap the CAS mount with a 12mm x 1 tap, however I did not have one at home, so tomorrow's job. Car will be off to plus for a post track service and inspection so I will get them to install the Hatlech hall effect sensor. This may work or it may not, it is a process of elimination. Interestingly the Haltech PS1000 defaults to using a pull up resistor on the trigger/home I wonder if this was disabled if the miss would still happen?
Will test it out at Morgan Park I guess.
Interestingly, I ran across this today, and remembered Mark's problems. Bit late for you Mark, but seems like there have been enough people having problems for someone to do something about it.

Thanks, I saw them as well. A bit on the expensive side however since I have done this mod there has been no repeat of the problem.

Agree, USD500 for the pair (Rolls Royce version) is pretty exxy.
They say the sensors themselves are higher quality, they better be!

Great to see you embrace the Green and Gold.

Re: The Roadster NA Journey Begins
Comments and or feedback (positive/negative) on the first pass video that I will be submitting as part of the Team Racepak application.
This year Racepak require a video (not longer than 2 minutes) that explains "Why I Race". I went down the path of visual and not use words. However I may need to add an easter egg at the end with a "Brendan Beavis" type monologue
The pink bits have been fixed up in Rev 2.

I like it. I like it a lot. EXCEPT, In the section titled "The Cars", You showed 1 car followed by 2 girls. Add more girls.
Seriously, I think it's very professional looking, & the no dialogue is quirky. Very good.

Version 2 - 'pink bits' fixed, some content changes. The "Easter egg" type ending still needs to be done when home next. However still open to suggestions.
This is what it is for, to be part of Team Pacepak in 2018 https://team.racepak.com/

F1 may have gotten rid of Grid Girls but "Long Live the Promo-Girls" - curves make everything look better!
