Hi,
First post- thanks for adding me.
In my previous 2003 MX5 I had a module installed (a genuine Mazda part) which would roll up both windows when the car was locked via remote.
Has anyone got a solution like that installed in their car?
This is for a 2002 NB FL
Many thanks, Christian

That is an aftermarket part. May have been fitted via a dealer contractor but not genuine Mazda.
Windows up is silly. Great way for a body part to get stuck.

It had a Mazda parts number.
There shouldn’t be any body parts in the car when you lock it. and the window wouldn’t keep going up anyway if it felt resistance.
And it is very convenient. No need for staying in the car with ignition on only to close the windows. Lots of modern cars have this function these days (eg my VW Passat)

Most of the units have a load sensor and drop the window if they feel resistance.
But it's also something that been around for years, the 626 had one touch window up on the drivers window in 1988, without any safety stop (and continued unchanged until 1994 or so)
It's no more risky than closing the door on your fingers.

OK. I've never seen one fitted to a Mazda, nor any other car I can recollect.

My wife’s car will close the windows and roof if they are open and it’s parked, locked and the rain sensor detects rain.
Havent actually used it since don’t often leave it with windows or roof open and even less so if it looks like rain, but have tested using the key remote, as it does the same thing if you hold the lock button down on the remote.

This is what you are looking for: http://wolfmiata.com/2/1touch.htm
More detail here: http://wolfmiata.com/tech/1touchmk2-3.htm
I have one in my MX5 - converts both windows to 1 touch up and down.
I was never able to get the auto up on lock to work as the cable needs to attach to an alarm sensor or something that grounds when the car is locked I think. (See step 5 in the second link above)
You could possibly connect it to one of the door lock electrical contacts? but I really don't know and as the car is more racecar than anything now I gave up long ago.

Re: Windows up when car locked
Thanks for the replies so far.
A search for the Mazda part number (4100-77-191A) without the hyphens revealed a dealer in Germany that may still have the module in stock.
There is an installation guide on the German mx5.de website.

As an alternative I found this module on eBay: https://www.ebay.de/itm/332419456605 for a tenth of the price...
