The next Moog! Never expected Dann to be immortalized in verse

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
well it's been almost two months since I last put up a blog and i'd like to report I am now totally medication free. i'd also like the swarm of support I got from the forum and in total I think I got something like 20% of the members urging me on with support.
i'd like to thank those 2 member wilko53 and 93 clubman and a couple of others further up this thread and the rest of you I would say could in a kind way ...you can all get stuffed like a xmas turkey!
and maybe one day it could knock on your doorstep too
anyway I will leave it at that and after 9 years here and 100 plus page I've had plenty to do. first off as mentioned earlier ...off the medication completly so all good after years...... so I venture over here first time in many many weeks
can't get in so have to get a new password. that's fine got it. ventured in and took a look. nothing much changed. I read a bit about does this dash look better in blue or so on ...what about this wire red or black. any-one know id the sun is coming up tomorrow.......stuffed if I know? when you come into here as an outsider -no wonder they think mx5 drivers are friggin fairies
so while you lot have been play'in about this is what billybunter has been up to.
1. naturally it took a lot of time and effort to get off the medication so that covered a bit.
2. then I got straight into the mx5 and clean it up and fitted the stripe and did a general clean up. today I drove it for the first time in 4 months and I think its time and if your serious and have cash PM me and don't discuss it here. this is just an old car now and the ABARTH would run rings around it. but I completed a pretty good job on it so here are todays photos

3. not to be outdone I ordered the new 2018 royal Enfield c5 with ABS from the dealer and it arrived one week or so ago. took a photo of it next to the car just in case -there we no believers

4. totally rebuilt the aviaries and purchased 4 pair of the new expensive mutation finches which are capable of producing nests of young valued at $5000 to $8000 per clutch X 3 nests per pair. now have orders for $20,000 in birds
5. plus ordered the new 650 twin royal Enfield for delivery end of year and the above will buy that bike alone in just 6 young.
best of all never touched a red or blue wire and couldn't give a stuff where the sun sets!
for those who go looking......it's a friggin joke on the sun! it always sets in the easts

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
Good to hear from you again bb!! Sent you a couple of pm's after your post but when they sat in my outbox I deleted them. Glad you're ok. Well done getting off the meds, it's not an easy thing to do. Unless someones been through it they'll never understand. I had similar a few years ago after 20 years on various concoctions for bi-polar and other serious anxiety problems. Felt like I lived in a fog. My meds were all monitored, but still coming off it all was a big mess physically and mentally for quite a while. Good on you for getting through it!
About time you fixed those aviaries!! Those doors were aweful and always going to give your back problems. BTW how is your back?
Wish I rode bikes every time I see your photos of those Enfields. Classic style bike, and as 93_clubman mentioned, the SE looks the best it's looked! The red/white combination really works well.

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
well i'd say it had been a good 4 months since the SE had been moved and on a serious run...even just out for a photo shoot. wife was with me and we both agree although its been a pretty good and very reliable car we need something more upmarket and I think its time I look at a ND again.
looking at the market again
one guy on carsales wants $25k for his heavily modded SE and maybe not up to mine and has more klm too. mine clocks out at 83,000
well I did knock back $20K several month ago with conditions on the sale -his colour choice
I will throw it up for $18,000 firm and at that price I think its a bargain buy!
this is a mx5 which is 100% reliable with a proven long distance track record. two trips to the top end and almost 25,000 klm. you could get in it now fill it up and I guarantee you could drive it anywhere in Australia - not recommended for dirt road though
i'd much rather ride the motor bikes any day than drive the ABARTH or the SE. the bike although only 27hp is way so much more fun!
yep! back to the aviary I did increase the door height from under a metre to about 5 foot or better on several of the aviaries during the re-work. gotta walk through those quite a few times so I thought better to fix this problem now rather than later when a problem arises

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
just a quick update!
although I didn't get a single response to my for sale ad for the car I also posted it on "Gumtree " and within hours actually got a buyer from Coffs Harbor. after a lengthy hour long talk he was very keen to buy and put an immediately $1000 paypal payment straight through to my paypal a/c
only problem his end he couldn't pick the car up till roughly 10/2 which was unfortunately bad mistake for him. price was agreed at the $18K advertised price which to me was still pretty cheep!
anyway a couple days later I ventured into the new aviaries and found my new mutation birds had started laying
wasn't expecting that. I went back a few days later and checked the eggs...the majority fertile!
did an egg count on fertile jobs and I had pretty close in numbers to what I was selling the car for
now I was really pissed off! had no medication to take either to calm me
so I thought it over and over and came to the decision
cancel the car sale-refund the money back to the buyer as it appears I am looking at a big $$$ bird season and would definitely regret taking a miserable $18K or 10 birds for my car
I think I can breed quite a few so no need to move out "OLD FAITHFUL"
I think later in the year it's better I just bring another in, plus a bike too

Ah, understand better now BB, initially thought it wasn't as good a start to a breeding year as you'd hoped. Go feather power!

93 clubman
just like I jumped the gun and shot off a few quick emails
I did the same on the egg checks and didn't allow for inexperienced new first timers not brooding the eggs to correct temp. big money tied up on this venture so you could say there was a bit of pressure on
then in the next door aviary 3 veteran pair went to nest on fertile eggs and all good there so its beginning to take shape. only 22 pair left friggin around deciding what to do
and dropping the odd egg anywhere
I don't know when its gonna happen but I guarantee it will happen within months I will open a nest box and "JACKPOT" half an SE in value in one nest box
