So...... run the few hundred k’s now with the new hot mount and bigger sway bars. The NVH is only really noticeable via the slight rumble in the steering wheel, but as I said before, the Problem Child already rumbled noticeably enough. The trade off for any slight increase in vibration or noise is no comparison to how much more responsive it is, and thats also driving down some local badly potholed corrugated roads as per Lokiel’s advice.
As for the bigger bars- just loving that go cart feeling!

I found the biggest change in NVH in my car was just above 1000rpm (like idle with the AC on, or just a slight bit of throttle in bumper to bumper crawl), the car would shake a bit, below that and in cruise it was minimal at best.

I can't remember, have you done coilovers yet? You must have, right?

Correct mate, Tien super streets that were installed by the previous owner. Apart from the recent additions of the bigger sway bars (and power train addition’s, Nitrodann’s hot side mount + PPF brace), the Teins are the only thing that has been done with the suspension and handling (thats the reason for the recent advice seek RE bushes.)

Having said that, any thoughts of what would be a good height setting to dial them in at, factoring in the massive horse stable under the hood, plus the need to have some droop in the rear end due to the 16mm rear sway bar, and if I was to replace the Tiens- what are the best options out there from what others out there have found to be a good investment.
I’ve already got some good info and stuff to think about regarding the bushes from previous replies (thanks all), but I don’t recall touching on the shocks yet.
I have been flicking through the suspension threads, but I’d like to know what you folk think when applying to keeping my set up glued to the tarmac. Cheers

Pop over one day and we can throw it on the scales and corner weight it. Once you get it setup then you can adjust it to your hearts content, as long as you keep notes :)

Suspension is a bag of worms, but I like talking about that stuff. And don't even get Magpie started!

An outstanding day at Magpies today. Quality time with Magpie, his charming other half that treated us to cheese, dip, crackers and coffee, Maniac Lachy and the Problem child’s ace mechanic Daz. A day that revolved around work on 3 fine vehicles, scales, car weights, suspension adjustments, threaded bolts and light hail storms!!! Magpie and Lachy’s beasties are looking great and The Problem Child now has some rake as well as figures to work with RE suspension fine tuning adjustments. :DIY: :MOCHA_LES:

You guys are the worst photographers ever, instead of hot busty bikini-clad babes draped over the hood of the car, you've given us crotch-shots of blokes working under the car!

There is definitely a difference in the launch, but wet roads on the way home will have to see further testing on a drier day..... more to come :DIY:
