The plastic OEM NB8A/B/C/D crossover has a diameter almost as large along its length as the aftermarket one - replaced my NA8 crossover with one a while back. IIRC the NB8A one dropped the Helmholtz resonator (with the switch to VICS), but the NB8B picked it up again (with the switch to (VVT).

That feeling of "OMG it's never going to go again"

So many things needing to be 'adjusted' for these ITBs...

Great to see the project continue to evolve. Was looking at your wiki & forum the other day & sounds like the NA6 PnP beta batch went well & was followed by a second NA6 PnP beta batch. Is it PnP on the 1993-1995 NA8 yet? The 1993-1995 NA8 used the same 48 pin ECU socket (different to the 1996-1997 NA8 & NB8A & NB8B etc).

I actually went over the NA8 wiring in detail the other day and I'm relatively confident it will work without any troubles. The additional injectors outputs are there on the board, so that's all fine. The only other main difference I can see is around the TPS input as it appears to be on a different pin on the NA8 (2K vs 2L).

I haven't actually tried it, but I suspect given the above it would work fairly easily, possibly just with a single jumper wire.

Well it's progress. This was with literally nothing done to the tune except scaling for the injector size change, so it's running like a dog on speed-density (WAAAY rich), but it did fire straight up and idled. TPS and IAT not even connected yet :P

A while between updates, but things on the ITB side are pretty much done now. Car is a delight to drive, very well behaved, starts easy and revs out great.

Next step on the ECU front is writing a decent dual table MAPxTPS hybrid mode to replace the current alpha-N + map/baro combination. Won't make a huge difference now, but am looking at what my options are for ITB+Turbo, so I need something that will handle that better.

With the PNP units, the final released version has been pretty successful so far. I think there's been about 60 of them go out now :)
I've just finished the initial designs for the 64-pin NA8 and NB8a boards, but need to find some cars to actually test them on.

You should ditch your charcoal cannister and save all that room.

It'll be going when I get a plenum made up, but for now it's not really a problem. I bought a Pipercross ITB plenum I had planned on using originally, but now that I want to boost it, I'm going to have to get something made up custom I think as I haven't seen any metal ones off the shelf.

The proportioning valve beside the booster is more of a problem, I really need to get the moved up to the firewall as it is right on the way of the inlet for cylinder 4 :/

LHD cars are so much more friendly for ITB, rotary and V8 conversions.

Update now includes setup info on 1993-1995 NA8 with 48 pin ECU:
'Setup on 1.8 engines
Wiring on the 48-pin 1.8 (NA8) models is largely identical to the 1.6 (NA6) however there are some minor differences. In addition to other points on this page, the following should be observed for 1.8 setups:
Fuel pump output pin should be set to A9
If the tacho doesn't work, set the tacho pin to 49 and add a jumper to the pins labelled 'Tach' on the board (Just above R56)
If the TPS reading is fixed at full open/closed and you have a heated rear demister, you may need to remove/cut wire 2L. This should only be done in this specific case and it is unlikely to affect most cars'.

There's also beta units for the 96-97 models and NB8B available now too if anyone is interested :D

Great news! How about the 1998-2000 NB8A, as opposed to the 2000 onward NB8B?
