Re: Dave's SE - REBORN
Same car, different driver:
This video is of my attempt at getting BARMY around the track. As I mentioned earlier, this car is really nice and fast in a straight line. I was still getting used to using the human traction control, as I'm used to MX-5's with zero power and all the grip but eventually you learn how to slowly ease on the throttle out of the corners. My excuses for not driving 100%: I'm pretty rusty, it's been 2 years since I've dríven winton. It's not my car and I don't want to break it.

Re: Dave's SE - REBORN
I'm surprised you've sold the car after all you've been through with it and it's finally become what you originally wanted.
Is it because:
1. Now you have "it", you no longer want "it" anymore (ie. it's "out of your system")
2. You've now got the "track bug" and realise the car far exceeds your ability and is going to get you killed so you need a less capable track car
3. Now that it's sorted, you need another another project to consume your time and $$$ and frustrate the crap out of you
4. You've realised that you're "getting too old for this sh*t"

Re: Dave's SE - REBORN
Congrats on building such a beaut Dave.
Although I don't know about the best possible home... I've got a space here it would have filled very nicely
If I may ask, is it somebody on here who's taken it off your hands?

Re: Dave's SE - REBORN
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Mostly 2 and 4 plus budgetary issues.
I’ll leave it to the new owner to announce himself, if he so wishes. He will certainly do the car more justice than I was able to.

Your journey with BARMY has been an inspiration- and I’m sure not just to me, but to many others out there as well, thanks Dave.

Re: Dave's SE - REBORN
It's gone to a new home now. In a slightly different guise. The new owner came yesterday and bought the front brakes, track wheels and my new seats that where not for sale. :/
He has a good budget to splash out on things to make the car awesome.
