Hi all,
Does anyone have a part number or spec for the AC compressor pulley bearing? Mine has buggered itself so looking at a bearing changeover rather than a full replacement compressor. AC is still ice cold and the clutch is free of play.
Thanks
Kevin

Re: NB8B AC Compressor Pulley Bearing
Mazda only list the whole compressor assembly and the front clutch kit as replaceable parts. So it looks like it needs to be an aftermarket adaptation. Personally I would take it to an engineering workshop to get a new one cut or pressed in.
Else just buy a second hand one from someone here. Failures aren't that common.

Thanks Manga Blue
Do you know where I can find part numbers? Is there a catalogue for the whole car somewhere?
Was thinking aftermarket may be the go and was only trying to reduce the downtime.

Here's a US online version showing available part numbers for compressor components as indicated by manga_blue: https://www.jimellismazdaparts.com/show ... gory=20231

Re: NB8B AC Compressor Pulley Bearing
Thank you all. That works a treat. Looks like pulley and bearing can be purchased together, but at $260 I'll probably go and source a local bearing.
Cheers

Re: NB8B AC Compressor Pulley Bearing
For everyone else's reference and my own:
AC Compressor Pulley Bearing Spec: 6001DU5 NSK Japan
From my research, 6001 DDU bearings should be comparable. The DU5 refers to the type of seal present on the bearing.
Other useful tip:
In order to remove the AC clutch without the need of the SST, I cable tied a 1/2" drive to the front swaybar and attached a 14mm socket. The socket was then placed over the centre nut of the clutch.
I then removed the air intake line and used a piece of drift wood with a hammer to crack open the nut but turning the clutch in the tightening direction.
