There is plenty of info on here, more on Miata Turbo. Load up some of the more sensible AFR tables, sensible Timing tables then use auto-tune. Read the megasquirt manual and follow it when setting up. There is a fair bit to it. Plenty to learn if you find that kind of stuff interesting and you have the time to learn.

I'm happy to share AFR and timing table with you. (98 fuel only)

Otherwise let Dann do it.

MS is easy to remote tune also if you have an empty road a laptop and a 3g or 4g phone and some reception.

^^That's an interesting business model, making good use of technology. Using teamviewer app a tuner could control the laptop live as if they were sat in the car next to you. The world's your oyster.

Looking to buy MS3Pro Plug and Play MM0105 for the 01-05 Mazda Miata – Manual Trans

They list this as for "2001-2005 USDM Mazda Miata with manual transmission, *non-Mazdaspeed"

I assume this is fine for ADM 2001 - 2005 and the one to get?

Yeh.

Youll need a AIT sensor ( maf delete) and a wideband o2 sensor (i recommend buying spartan2 from justraceparts.com). Also a boost control solenoid if youre turbo.

I'm pretty sure the OEM NB IAT sensor work as is?
And the Wideband is technically only necessary if you are planning to tune the car yourself.

Not the best idea to use the OEM air temperature sensor with speed density as it is a closed element and responds very slowly to temperature changes.
The GM sensor doesn't cost much and it works a lot better being open element.

Additionally a new GM AIT sensor is used so that no future upgrades are necessary, its $20 and gives you a brand new sensor for Air temp, afterall the only other mass flow sensor used will also be brand new, the MAP sensor. I like having those 110% guaranteed spot on and working.

Wideband provides economy, clean spark plugs, guaranteed smooth idle with crisp response from idle and AFR safety systems. Without it, you cannot guarantee all of these things, you must choose one or 2 only.

Yes, that's the one you want, whether you're boosted or not.
The MS ECUs have built-in calibrations for GM temperature sensors so they're the easiest to use (they're also cheap).

MAP sensor is built into the MS.

Megasquirt injector timing.

My table until now has been 360 deg, flat across the table. After some discussions with a local club member it seems this isn't likely to be any where ideal. Particularly in a boosted scenario where cam overlap allows boosted air and fuel to be blown straight through, in the inlet valve and straight out the exhaust valve, unburnt. O2 sensor would read this as rich then, if EGO correction is turned on allow the ECU to incorrectly lean out the mixture. Auto tuning would also provide a false rich condition thus leaning out real AFR. A can or worms?

Adjustable cam gears could help to reduce the overlap, also turning injectors off sooner would be beneficial.

While I haven't played around a great deal with injection timing yet (although my table isn't 360 across the map), unburnt fuel will read leaner not richer since o2 sensors read o2 not fuel.
