Anyone able to advise what this clip bracket is for on the passenger side kick panel of a JDM 89 NA6?

Japanese roadside flare. Removed at Aussie compliance.
I had a spare one and sold it for $50 as a novelty on fleabay.

Yeah, road flare.
One of those odd Japanese laws that cars needed them.

You can buy flares at fishing/boating stores if you really want.

I do as well.

But I know some people are obsessed with fitting them for period correct accuracy.


I'd probably just make/find a canister of about the right size to hold useful stuff like cable ties and a few spanners
