NA6 turbo - 140kw atw - not the most powerful but so much fun

Going by the look on the pictures they look like Yokohama Advan RZ's, same as mine- if so you done well, they only weigh about 5kg and are flow formed- car looks great!

Hey guys!
bit of an update - painted and fitted my roll bar, had my roof colour matched, rebuilt coilovers, put in a T2 4.3, Sailun semi slicks, Nardi and a few other service items!
Next is brakes, I'm thinking of just keeping the nb8a callipers but using a good quality pad / rotor, and I'm pretty sold on some RPF1RS in 15x8 + 28 provided some nice sized SSR's or equip 03's don't come up for sale!

For mostly street at this time, Putting DBA rotors, project mu club racer pads and braided lines on mine made a great difference, (SE calipers though). The pads do sqeal a bit though.

Thats exactly what I had been looking up so thats good to hear!
I'm going to give a skidpad / wet drifting day a go next month, interested to see what it handles like with such a small wheelbase and not being able to rely on torque/boost. - Engine is 100% stock, intake and exhaust, so i have no doubt I'm going to struggle a bit changing driving style.

Hey guys,
Boring offset / wheel related question, I am looking at some SSR EXC in these sizes
15 x 7 a type (-1 offset)
15 x 7.5 a type (-6 offset)
from what i can work out if I am doing the math correctly thats
FRONT - 89.9mm sitting out from mounting face
REAR - 101.2mm sitting out from mounting face
in comparison to a more common wheel - enkei RPF1RS 15 x 8 +28 which would work out to be
SQUARE - 73.6mm sitting out from mounting face
meaning these would sit 27.6mm more proud in the rear and 16mm more at the front.
With the guard edging folded up, is this likely to sit under the guard our outside, apparently CAMS (and QPS haha) stipulate that wheel must be inside the guard, I'm not scared of some basic guard work.
Hoping some one can shed some light.

Hey guys
So I picked up the SSR's with the attitude that i'll make car fit them if need be. they look to be from late 80's build date, and in reasonably good nick, but need a sand to get the alloy back to being mirror.
Will let you know how I go with fitting them - pics of trial fitment below!

I'm thinking that they may not fit. Well, at least not without a heavy fender pull and max camber. Let us know how you go. A staggered setup like that isn't ideal for an MX-5, but you might not mind be fussed about it.
They do look cool though, any idea on the weight of them?

they 'fit' haha, some scrubbing in the rear but I'm heading to a friends body shop on saturday and he's confident he can massage the rear enough!

slight height adjustment and guard roll / pull & it functions perfectly! I don't believe I have the driver skills to noticed a 12mm stagger difference between front and rear.

Wheels look good on the nb8a. I don't know what it is but I feel nb8a's can pull off old school wheels much nicer than 8b's..

car was reversed into by a ute - no note.
Buddy cleaned it all up for me, bumper shaved and resprayed, along with the bonnet.
lip and side skirts re done in bumper black. headlights buffed!
looking forward to getting started on the charger, but just bought a house, and it needs a whole lot of work.
just enjoying it for the time being!
