More tidying up.
Wrong battery with no battery tray was never going to end well. I don't think it was the current lead/acid that has caused the damage but when this one fails finally fails I will replace it with an AGM or something else sealed / non-spillable.
In the meantime I've given the boot a scrub out and neutralized the leaked acid. The metal copped a buff back with my pad grinder, another good clean down and prep and a coat of flat black Kill Rust.
I'm in the process of tracking down a battery tray and it can then all go back together again.

Thank you and it already has Stan.

The main aim was just to tidy up the acid corrosion properly. All of the carpets and trim pieces copped a Bi-carb wash too to neutralize the acid and freshen it all up. New underfelting has also gone back onto the original locations under the main carpet too as it was missing.

Next on the list is to finally address the drivers side floor. I have the patch panel now; so it's time to prep and trim it down to size, cut the cancer out of my floor and stitch it all back together properly again.

Hey Luke, you still haunt these pages?

If you see this, could you cast your mind back and let me know where you got the plastic you used for your door cards?
