Looks good/great job. Maybe just needs some red highlights?

I have black side stripes arriving shortly so will see how that goes and maybe try black wheels or I may have to try another re- paint

Please don't end up with black rims.
My vote would be red side stripes and rims.
At the very least, could you do one wheel black and one red, mount them on one side and take photos to help you decide?

I'm wondering what grey side stripes would look like to match the existing grey wheels.

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
I sometimes wonder myself and I am at the crossroads again well not really
after 2 weeks the gear shift and hand brake covers arrived and I was able to install them and fit the console and passenger side seat. last day of rego for the car too so had to get it checked over and put 6 months on it while I decide what to do next
I am down on a fair few of these clips which hold the underside of the wheel arch plastic intact. any ideas where I can hold of them. don't require many ...maybe 20 could be more

Go to ebay & search "plastic panel clips" - many different types & sizes, & cheap

a set of quality wheels would jazz it up. White cars with quality wheels look the business
After such a huge effort in painting it I feel the wheels let it down and look a bit cheap and nasty

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
fine-let me see some wheel options for this so here it is BUT it must be in 15" rims lets set a budget of $2000 max for the set - got a bit of spare birthday money coming up shortly - 65 and then only another 4 years off and interesting age like 69 that year will turn my f/ head
