The final MX5CQ Trackday is on soon, but more importantly, if we confirm 50 drivers by Tuesday 10/10 we get a whole day to play for no extra cost ( instead of the usual afternoon session).
So if you'd like to grab a slice of the best track value going, nominate and pay NOW. All the details are below.

Re: MX5CQ Trackday Lakeside 6/11/17
How did you guys go? did it end up making the required amount of people to have a full day event?
Unfortunately it's too early for me to know if I'll be able to make it

It's Brian's call. Numbers weren't to good Monday PM when I last spoke to him, but there's always a last minute rush.

MX5CQ Trackday Lakeside 6/11 AFTERNOON SESSION ONLY
This event will be an AFTERNOON SESSION only.
Unfortunately we were unable to get the number of participants required to get to the 'break even' point. Therefore the full day session was not viable.
On the upside, Brian is introducing a REGULARITY SESSION and PASSENGER LAPS SESSION. He will share the details shortly!

Re: MX5CQ Trackday Lakeside 6/11/17
It seems to have gone a bit quiet around here recently, however I'll not to be deterred from posting.
My eternal gratitude goes out to Brian the Competition secretary for stringing this event together. As ever Brian and the MX-5 Club of QLD and Lakeside and crew have provided a great day of club level Motorsport. I really like the Lakeside days. Great track and lots of happy punters in all levels. Regularity was interesting, by nominating a time 1.5 seconds slower than my best previous time that day I managed to go .5 seconds faster. Go figure...no driver aids though to tell me to slow down.
Thanks to all, much appreciated.

My Regularity strategy was to dial in a little slower (0.4 secs) than my best time in the previous 2 sessions. My plan was to use Dr Caroll as my pace car but just before we went out he advised that he had dialled in 65.5. Damm, however Steve let me get ahead of him and then he used me as a pace car.
In the last sprint session of the day managed a PB, not sure if it was the AR-1’s on 8” rims or the small changes to reduce drag or the car I was following. Notwithstanding it felt very easy.
