Back to Wakefield tomorrow. Track day club on Saturday and CSCA supersprint round 7 on Sunday.
Possible rain in the morning, in which case I'll be on the Michelin PS3s. If dry I'll be using up the Hankook TD Z221s.

4 sessions on the michelins then 2 on the hankooks.
1:14.5 on michelins and 1:13.2 on hankooks.
Expecting better tomorrow.

Dan recorded a 1:09.87 at Wakefield with the 2.0 engine. That was on 235 Hankooks (Z221) and on suspension set to his "track" height settings.
I reckon the 2.5 gives 2 seconds/lap improvement at Wakefield.
I would like to get Dan back in the car at Wakefield on 235 Nankang AR-1s with the suspension lowered back to his track setting.
Reckon he would lap in the 1:07s
For the next 3 weeks I will remain at 'road height' to do the Targa High Country Tour.
Then I will reset the car at 'race height' for the track.
I have a MX-5 Club of NSW Track Day at South Circuit on 18th of November (Saturday) and another at Wakefield on 26th of November.
I'm hoping for a 1:04.xx at South Circuit and 1:10.xx at Wakefield.

Back to Wakefield on 11th Feb for the first Club Trackday for 2018
Hot day and nobody was doing PBs
My PB at Wakefield is 1:11.25 on a cooler day on Nankang AR-1 225s
This time in the heat on Hankook z221 215s best I could manage was 1:12.6

After Lou's crash at the South Circuit I decided I really wanted a full cage.
Easiest way was to buy another car with a cage already fitted.
2 cars were available both very similar spec', both with full cage and Deckspeed full race n/a engine.
One is red, with a carbon hardtop, electric windows, road rego, suitable for tarmac rally use.
The other is silver/green/black vinyl wrapped with extensive sponsor signage, no hardtop, fixed side windows.

I chose the red one. Very happy with it.
After just a few laps at Wakefield I recorded a 1:07.8 on A050s - then it rained.
1:13.5 at North Crt
1:56.7 at Phillip Island on my first drive there
1:53.07 at EC GP Crt after just a few laps.

Now the black car is for sale.
