NB suspension (shocks/springs) into NA

Postby twr7cx » Sat Oct 21, 2017 10:46 am

I'm sure this must have been discussed previously, probably a few times, but I don't seem to be able to find any threads on it. Maybe I'm using the wrong search terms?

From what I've read there is benefits in fitting NB shock and spring combination into an NA but there are some additional items required in order to do it. What else is needed? Can the additional components be removed from an NB wreck or are they custom items required?

Is there any difference in ride height in completing this? i.e. does a standard height NB spring achieve a standard NA ride height?

IIRC, you need the whole damper, spring & tophat setup - about 25mm height difference.

Thanks. So fitting NB setup to NA lowers or raises 25mm?

Raises - it may be 10-15mm higher depending on which NA it's going into, ie early NA v late NA, supposedly late NA = less increase.
