For the record, nothing local it seems. JDMyard advertise them, but only sell the Honda version(s). Decided not to try GWR or 949, went with a fleabay retailer for just over $400 landed, delivery next week. We'll see.

Seems the Mtnet advice is to re-drill the return spring hole, and Loctite everything.

To be clear this is the 70mm Honda not the Mx5 one but I think most of the issues apply across the entire range. S2's QA and design skills are lacking big time!

I have since switched to a S90 70mm throttle body and it is awesome. S90 make some really nice gear and it would be well worth making an adapter plate to fit them to our stock manifolds.

Is your S90 still performing, Rick? The Aluminium shaft was what concerned me about the S90... I found myself wondering how durable it might be under prolonged racing conditions...

It's been faultless... It really is very nicely made. I did have the throttle sensor fall off at one point but pretty much everything does that! My engine has a solid brace and so everything that isn't loctited falls off.

After running the Skunk2 Honda throttle body where I had issues everywhere the s90 is a dream :)

Arrived, fitted, engine dynoed.

Locktited all the screws and nuts, drilled a new hole for the spring. I also had to shorten the screw that is recessed into the IAC adapter plate, the recess is too tight for the required washer, so I ground down the screw.

No apparent trace of the screw or its passage through the engine, fortunately.

Nothing to brag about, just a quick retune for the bigger TB. Low-mid range grossly out, mid-high not so far out. Tuned for safety, will go back for a more comprehensive tune later, this was just squeezed in to get me going for Sunday's Supersprint round. I am not in the running for a pot, so not a lot of point in pushing the boundaries for this event - I just turn up, have a bit of fun, collect my points for the Club, and go home :D .

The problem now is the IM, which now is the choke point in the inlet tract. A flat-top, or even the new Skunk IM, may be a better bet.
