Shop in Brisbane that can look at a megasquirt

Postby Hugo999 » Tue Sep 26, 2017 10:38 pm

Hello,
I have been struggling with a ignition problem where I have only one coil firing on my 91 mx5. I have been through basically every ignition part I can think of and the car is still misfiring. This leads me to think it can only be the ecu causing this. Does anyone know of a shop or someone that can diagnose a faulty ignition circuit in a megasquirt DIYPNP in the Brisbane area?

Thanks, Hugo.

It's probably the ECU this is why I don't touch hand built ones anymore

Have put new plugs, leads, ignitor on the car. Tested coilpacks and CAS and proved both working. Wiring checks out on continuity. Can only be the ecu then I think?

Have this all detailed on another forum but not sure if I am allowed to post it here. Also have datalog but I'm not skilled enough to read it myself (https://goo.gl/rW4DtL).

Going insane trying to diagnose this and hoping someone in Brisbane knows what they are doing with a megasquirt and can have a look at it.

I realise its not Brisbane but CHIPTORQUE at Nerang should be able to assist, They are within easy walking distance from the station should you need to leave your 5 there . Lachlan Is the man to talk to.
Cheers
Steven
