SDT Sports Driver Training @ Morgan Park: dates confirmed for 2017

Good news for people who like Morgan Park, SDT have just announced their dates for 2017:

2017 dates are now confirmed as:
• Wednesday 16 August (Brisbane Show Holiday)
• Monday 2 October (Queens Birthday long weekend)
• Friday 15 December (weekend before Xmas)

More good news is that they are now full days from 0900 to 1600 (gates open at 0800).

Possibly good news there maybe BAP's up for grabs, subject to the approval by the MX5 Car Club QLD Competition Secretary

Now the not so good news, Morgan Park has increased its charges and the cost of a full day (with coaching) is now $396 per person. If we can get 5 or more there is a group booking discount.

Mayyyyybe. I'd like to go to the Ekka day one, it's been 2 years and I had fun at the last one. It's a bit pricey but I like the track and it's great to have some tuition. So, maybe.

There has been an across the board price increase at Morgan Park this year. A Driving Event day will cost $395 for the whole day, the SDT day costs $1 more.

However, when you consider the amount of laps you can get the cost does not seem that bad. I have yet to do a Driving Event Morgan Park day however have at QR on a few occasions. Personally I prefer SDT track days as the instructors will seek you out and ask how you are going. I found it difficult to get an instructor in the car at the Driving Event days.

I even put the passenger seat in for SDT days

As an example on 10/08/16 (3 groups of 6) we managed to do the following laps (excluding warm up/cool downs):
8 - Layout B
6 - Layout D
41 - Layout E
15 - Layout F
