2017 Inter-Club Challenge a.k.a. ICC

There a great variety of events to try in this friendly, low key competition, which is geared toward road registered cars.

Remaining dates are:
27/8 Timed laps, Lakeside DTC (hosted by Lotus)
30/9 Hillclimb, Mt Cotton (MGCCQ)
29/10 AM or PM Sprints, Norwell Park 86 Drivers Club
12/11 khanacross, Willowbank (HSCCQ)
10/12 Presentations @ Cars'n'Coffee Woolloongabba (Z Car Club)

MX5CQ are currently a lazy 6th place, but our points for McLean's Bridge have not been awarded yet. And I note that those points have been bagged by the cardigan wearing, chardonnay set! Who won best club display on the day, and a few other prizes. 2nd time in three years.

The 86DC is hosting a round of the Inter-club Challenge at Norwell on 29/10.

It's a bit away but I have been advised if you want to enter this event you should do so soon. The morning session is almost sold out, and there is a big contingent of Porsches attending in the afternoon.

Latest points tally. We did well at the Lotus DTC day and are now placed 6th. Unfortunately we get npo points for MCLeans Bridge, as no MX5 was nominated for best-looking-car or whatever. Hillclimb is next on 30/9.

Bugger. ICC Norwell Trackday cancelled. The council have come down on Norwell for having 500 breaches in one day (reportedly from a secret monitor in a neighbour's front yard, set to 76db. Far far less than what a passing car can legally generate). Norwell have cancelled ALL events.

On the bright side: Hillclimb this weekend.

76db huh, imagine if a Harley went past their house. It is really disappointing though, Norwell is a lot of fun. I have a sports field a few hundred metres up the road from me, you should hear that place sometimes on a Friday night when there is a match on. Nobody complains about that, it's just kids having fun.

I have just seen the Hillclimb entry list. It,s very short. I am the only MX%CQ member, and the only MX5 too.
