Ceramic Coating

Postby Ruffian147 » Wed Sep 06, 2017 8:41 am

Just reading up on ceramic coating to provide a long lasting wet/gloss look.

The product is made by Gyeon in S Korea.

The quote for the normal package was $850 for the car, $160 for the soft top and $30 each for the wheels. Two day process.

Has anyone had this done?

Ceramic coating is ideal on a brand new car with no stone chips, paint flaws or with perfect paintwork

I have used Gyeon Can coat on my NC, similar to ceramic coat however only lasts 12-18 months.

the positive is that you can do it yourself. the product is around the $60 mark.

Gyeon products are awesome, a bit more expensive but a very good product.

the ceramic coating needs to be baked on with a infra-red light, hence its a bit of a process.

Thanks Reggie. I will give it ago. Pricey as you said, labour involved. Some on eBay from China for 5% of the price but what are you getting?

Another thing I interested in is PPF but many places do it.

If you go to you tube there are several videos that show how labour intensive the process is and how to do it yourself
