Blue Rocket NA/NB race suspension/brakes (NSW)(SOLD)
Due to a change of plans for the 2018 season, I have for sale the complete suspension from Chris White's Blue Rocket NA racecar.
1. Custom modified dropped spindles front and rear (CNC'd from billet CroMoly) - perfect roll centre - and utilising the indestructible MR2 front wheel hubs. click for details These include ABS rings, hubs/bearings/extended studs. Also included is a pair of rear drive shafts.
This installation has been de-bugged for you, and is ready to transform the handling of your NA/NB.
2. AP four piston front brakes, stock rear caliper relocated to accommodate bigger rear disk - fits 15in wheels.
The AP calipers are radial mount, the disks are massive. This is meant for big stopping, every time.
3. Xida shocks with springs, tweaked to suit the spindles.
This package came out from under what was one of, if not the, fastest atmo MX5s in Australia. It's speed wasn't all due to the suspension, but the suspension was integral to its success. It is ready to be bolted under any NA/NB.
$5500 the package. Freight possible, at buyer's expense.
Photos coming.
PMs only please.

Fronts. Note, they come with bespoke Singular 75mm ducting. I also have two new friction rings for the fronts which are part of the package. ETA springs are Hyperco 800/500.
Rears. Note, I have to correct my post above, the rear brakes do not have extended mounts. ETA rear disks appear to be about 270mm
ABS fittings/wiring. Note, front ABS is internal to hub.
More to come ...

Re: Blue Rocket NA/NB race suspension/brakes (NSW)
Are these the Gen 1 or Gen 2 dropped spindles?
How old are brakes?
Do you know what pads?
How many km (roughly) have the coilovers done?
Thanks
Waz

Blue Rocket NA/NB race suspension/brakes (NSW)
The drop spindles were from the first production run but have been re-engineered to fit with 15" wheels and the AP brakes. Track proven - they work!
The calipers are ex-Group A Sierra. They were fully rebuilt in early 2016 and have 5-6 events on them since then. Front pads are Hawk DTC60 and rears are Hawk Blue IIRC. Pads and rotors only had a couple of events on them.
The coilovers have 2 seasons of racing on them.

Re: Blue Rocket NA/NB race suspension/brakes (NSW)
Do you know if the AP's will fit an OEM hub with the brackets or would they need new brackets made up?

These would have been on my shopping list but they will bump the car out of clubsprint class in WTAC and there is no way it can compete in open

Thanks Chris.
The question is academic, they are being sold as a package. The answer to the question is no, I don't know, but I do know google is your friend .
Magpie, you just have to lift your horizons (and your budget)

Re: Blue Rocket NA/NB race suspension/brakes (NSW)
The AP brakes would fit an OEM spindle, but you may need to run a thin spacer/washer between the lower mounting points and the caliper mount on the spindle as the mounting points on the Keislers are heavier.
The beauty of radial mount calipers is that it's really, really easy to adjust the mounting point, both axial and radial, with the addition and removal of spacers.

Re: Blue Rocket NA/NB race suspension/brakes (NSW)
The time has come ... to separate the components of this brake/suspension package. It's a pity, but there you go, they are doing no-one any good sitting in my garage.
The components will be sold as springs/shocks; suspension (spindles, arms, axles etc); and brakes.
Watch for new posts for each of the three components, which will occur after I get a response from those who PM's me previously. If you did PM me and haven't heard from me in the last day or so, please PM me again.
