Thx Dann and agree that adding rails does not mean the car will be faster.

I recall there was a lot of conjecture about the delrin door bushes when these were discussed. I thought why not just try them and see. I use to turn my head a bit when driving and could see the flexing of the door to the pillar but with these fitted there's none at all. My first drive after fitting them, I backed out of the drive and felt the difference as soon as I went over the curb joint. I have no idea what to expect from the frame rails, maybe in the SE I'll feel nothing. I don't track my car or use all the power it has, so the performance aspects are'nt as relevant to me, but I will be interested to see if the car feels different in any way or if any of the chassis shakes that crop up intermittently are cured.

If it does nothing at all, well, it won't be the first $$$ I've ever wasted on a car and doubt it would be the last ... :wink:

When you can go no faster then look at these sort of upgrades, contrary to what I did in my build. At the moment it is hard to sort out what recent mods have or have not worked...

At Morgan Park recently, when comparing times from 12 months before there has been an improvement in times, but what caused it? The changes to the car in the past 12 months have been the brake setup, front aero , spring rate change, rear wing stability fixed and over 470 laps this year alone (up to the Morgan Park event) on various tracks. Tyres used on both occasions were similar use/age AD08R's...
Layout K - lowered previous time by 4.6 seconds to a 1:31.75
Layout E - lowered previous time by 2.15 seconds to 1:12.90

A more recent event at Norwell saw in June a time of 1:07.58 and in August (on the same tyres but revised front aero) a 1:05.992. The improvement could also be down to more seat time at Norwell (about 140 laps done between and including the Norwell events) rather than improvement in the car.
