Are there faster options out there...yep ( especially for a track pig )
Any other MX-5's sold in Australia supported by Mazda Australia won anything similar to a Targa Tasmania ( production class ) ? Not that i know of ?
Limited production run?...yep
Will it be worth anything in years to come ? Possible as more standard cars disappear ?
Would i swap mine... yep "BUT" only for a SLR 5000/Monaro or something similar to relive childhood memories.
Having mates that deal in VW help as well as having a current VW GTI and a fairly current FJ Cruiser parked in the garage the SP would be gone in a second if i had to downsize the fleet.
The GTI is a much better drive.
At this stage of the game the real collectors haven't come looking with the correct dollars yet.
Collectable ?
Curiosity More so ?

questions are asked, opinions are given and often different opinions as what works for one does not work for another and everyone still gets on and shows respect, there is no "your a d*^@! head" or anything like what is seen on other forums. well done Cartalk!!

slowly but i have most parts now, i may have decided on a different ecu and kelford cams still have no BP blanks after 12 months so may go with Tighe. i have the fuel system and other stuff sorted and sitting in the garage....with all the other stuff lol really need to update the build thread been 12 months.
Honestly money has been spent Lately on Patrol and a 5 week trip up in Cape York, hence why i have been quiet on here. Decided that my current 660nm at the wheels wasn't enough so the Patrol now has 1145NM at the wheelsturns out over 20PSI pushes Patrol valves open so race springs in there now, needless to say wasn't just boost to get that number........was a great trip as well hahaha nearly rolled her on the old telegraph track at Canibal creek, still a nice crease in my drivers seat cover from a pucker up on that one. Going from mid 30 degree days back to milking cows when i got home in -5 degrees was a bit rude but.
MX5 is the focus again now.![]()
oh and we got the missus a CX5 GT in the diesel. fingers crossed its a good one.
