The "B" Series Sprints at Morgan Park have been postponed indefinitely as a result of track maintenance and rain delays, and so about half of my year's motorsport plan is in the bin.

Do more of the NSW HCC events?
Find some other nearby events to do?
Can the Motorsport for this year entirely and do mods?

Thats a bit crap mate- but when they say track maintenance, do they mean patch work or a proper track re surface?

I was under the impression that it has been a complete resurface. I don't believe the track has been used yet this year. The series will still run, just that the first date is TBC. However, the more things that get postponed the less likely it is that they will all be able to fit back in only so many weekends in the year.

The Morgan Park sprint series did eventually get rescheduled, but for dates that mean I can't attend at least 2 of the 4 rounds. 'Work commitments' have now also rent asunder prospects of attending any further rounds of the NSWHCC.

Not good news, work can be such an inconvenience...

Being a shift worker, I have empathy with how the inconvenience in planning ahead can be, when the dreaded work commitments must get factored in. Hope you can make the most of those couple of runs you can make it to mate-

Finally dragged the car out for a drive today. It begins with a game of garage tetris to extract the Mx-5 past all the other stuff to the nearest bit of free roadway.

The last three weeks have been a blur of vomiting kids and work travel so it was nice to escape for 150km this afternoon. Home - Samford - Dayboro - Mt Mee - Campbell's Pocket Road - Wamuran - Caboolture - M1 to Bald Hills for a splash of e85 - home.

Pittsworth Sprints are on again shortly. I'm not entered, but the clip is some inspiration to get myself along to something soon.

I've had no spare time to really drive it, but I've managed to tick a few items of the safety gear list.

A two layer suit:

...and a 20 degree HANS device:

My helmet does not accept HNR posts, so I will be on the hunt for a helmet as well before the next event.

I pulled out and sold my perfectly good 3.6 T2 yesterday...

It rhymes with 'Cos Chicken' - If I can find some croutons, there might just be enough for a Caesar salad...

No, although I do like the idea of the beefier BMW box (BBB?) option that's popped up lately, there would not be much change out of $5k for that adventure.

A casualty of the T2 sale was that the ES diff bushes that came courtesy of Minx went with the housing. 949 Racing had stock, and their webstore is easy for purchases from AU...

When the new LSD center arrives and is assembled, it will find its way back into the car with these.

1) New diff is at the shop being assembled and should be back in the car by the end of the weekend.
2) Bulahdelah Hillclimb entry is in.
3) Noosa Hillclimb Summer Challenge entry is in.

The last time I did the Noosa Hillclimb my best time was a 65.15 with a toasted diff. I'd like to reach the low 64's.

Which Diff? I'd love to upgrade my T2 at some point.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Stay tuned for a review!
