After checking out the old PPF and working out how to add some strength to it, engineer Ben and mechanic Daz come up with this.
At 1st they tossed up the idea of a stitch weld bracing, but welds on the PPF may weaken the metal. We did have a look at the track dog racing PPF brace but seeing as Ben has put together similar stuff for numerous track cars I'm confident that this will work well.
We did also toy with the idea of putting more solid bushes on the diff mount, but after some research Daz doesn't want to see the mount arms break, so at this stage we'll go with this and keep an eye on it over the next few months.
