For the impending trip from the Gold Coast to Sydney next week, i threw back the mind to the last time down in April and recalled how uncomfortable (and red rashed after a few hours of driving) my left elbow was gettting on the hard plastic SE door armrest. I had a new gel bike seat cover sitting around and a pack of Sellys velcro command strips and got creative.

I might play around with it a bit more (just to change it a bit to look a little more "professional"), but a test out 2 hour drive today resting the elbow on it today felt great :P- . It holds solid in place but also comes off easy enough.... and the command strips dont leave marks!

More bling for my engine (dipstick handle, engine damper and sparkplug cover), courtesy of Jass Performance.

Just knocked up a customised instrument cluster - not really suited to Malibu though...

Replaced the OEM muffler and rusting catback piping and relocated the spare. Loving the cleaner look from the rear.

Can't post pics since no computer, but replaced and relocated the charcoal canister.

For what it's worth, the canister from a Suzuki Vitara/Daihatsu Terios (forgot which) fits happily down by the frame rail with clearance between the radiator and alternator.

I used the bracket from the suzuki to fit it using the oem hole for the vent tube. (Worth noting, you'll need to "adjust" the suzuki bracket with a saw and some minor blacksmithing)

Driving lights fitted (they look a little skewed bu that is just the angle that photo was taken):

Next up hope to fit a resprayed Racing Beat front bumper (which these lights will simply swap over to).

Changed out pads/rotors and other odd jobs...

Slider pins all need to be replaced, they are getting pitted. Cleaned them up with some 2000 wet dry. Ordering replacement ones.

Rear pads, well used. The W6.5's on the rear have about 12mm of pad material you can use.

Air box repainted. It has been polished, wrinkle black, green and now ceramic black

Whilst that is a good suggestion, it needs to be a NB tank due to the change in headlights. However do you have a NB overflow tank...
