Ecliptech shift p2 - install

Postby The Green Goblin » Mon Jul 24, 2017 4:19 pm

Hey fellas,

i recently bought one of these for my NB8B & looking to install shortly.. by install i mean a local shop will do for me. a noob question that i have is, does the gauge hood cover need to come off in order to install the wiring for this device? i have checked the install guide & there are a number of ways to install it, dependent on the car/make, so left me a little confused.

here is the guide im referring to - https://ecliptech.com.au/wp-content/upl ... -Guide.pdf. hoping one who is electronically gifted can enlighten me, as i know sweet jack all about these things.

cheers.

Have you identified the RPM signal wire? You should be able to do this without pulling the dash out.

yep thats the guide (some reason the link in incuded didnt work).

no i haven't located the RPM wire & have no idea where it would be, i would assume behind the gauge instrument cluster? it's not the dash im referring to - but the hood cover, apparently this pulls out quite easily, i just need to know if i do need to take it off/if the RPM signal wire is behind that area.

cheers.
