Happy days

Postby Gringo » Wed Jul 19, 2017 8:36 pm

Hi All

Just put a deposit on a 2017 roadster soft top 2L manual (ceramic metallic) :D :ND:

Just wanted to thank you all for the info and advice, I felt really comfortable talking to dealers about models, specs and of course pricing.

CeramicND you were right on the money, after ringing around $38.5K was mentioned quite a bit but eventually was offered a brand spanker for 35K drive away! Was offered extras like protective paint polish and tinting but may wait and see what some of you may suggest in regards to useful and fun mods.

Should get it 10 days as they had one on the wharf here in Brissie.

Cheers

Don't waste your money on over-priced polish and why the hell would anyone tint a soft top mx5, unless it's raining cats and dogs or 50 degrees C, the roof is only going to be in one position. Even -6 degrees C is a roof down drive (did that a few weeks ago).

Dependant on what you want to use your car for. I have a whole range of mods/tips I can advise on. Have spent over $6K on mods to date and most I would re-do, some I wouldn't. It does depend on your intended use though.

Congrats on the purchase. Mine still brings a smile every single time I sit in the drivers seat.

Aha Congratulations!! many years of fun and smiles coming your way :D Ignore tinting etc, waste of money really. Enjoy the car stock while under warranty and then if itching for more, once past warranty look at basic mods like exhaust or even coilovers or ecutek - that's how I went with my nc2. But really these cars don't need much done to them - leave it as is and enjoy :D

PS - ignore my PM on my NC2 prht for sale - that was before you posted about your ND deal :)
