Spring spacer thickness

Hi, I want to raise my Clubman 12-13mm on the drivers side at the front and back to match the height of the other side. I want to keep the car completely stock. What thickness spacer/shim will I require in between the springs and chassis. I'm guessing about 5mm thick? Rubber ok to use? Ta

Front motion ratio (spring bush to ball joint on the A arm) is about 0.76:1. So you will need about 9mm of spacer.

Rear motion ratio (spring bush to outer joint on arm) is about 0.8:1. But the spring is mounted at an angle to the arm (about 17 degrees depending on ride height). So overall motion ratio is about 0.76 once the cosine of the angle is considered. Same again.

About 9mm front and back - thanks for that.
Spacer rings made of hard rubber ok to use, or maybe nylon bread cutting board material would be better?

You want to raise one SIDE but not the other?!

Maybe you might want to investigate a bit further, and see why one side is higher ... or the other lower? Broken springs? Springs not properly seated? Bent suspension? Different springs? Bent chassis? Busted shock(s)?

I don't recall seeing anyone else having a similar problem (but that might just be faulty memory), my feeling is that this is pretty unusual and warrants investigation as to the cause before settling on a solution.

Stock bilsteins and springs all good. Nothing obviously bent apart from a dent in the chassis rail on the drivers side (could that be the reason?) Drives and handles as it should so not too worried about it.

Front driver side sitting lower isn't usual, but rear driver side sitting lower by 10-15mm is very common on the NA8, whether standard NA8 or NA8 Clubman. It's been discussed a few times on here, but not for a few years: http://w.mx5cartalk.com/forum/viewtopic ... =3&t=59880
