Megasquirt time based accel

Postby Coote_00 » Thu May 25, 2017 10:56 pm

Hey using a megasquirt ms2 and was just having trouble with time based accel enrichment I'm using a blend of %70 tps but for some reason I can't add more than %25 to the added ms is there a reason for this or have I missed something cheers

Throw up a screen shot of your settings (maybe something is obvious), a tune file and a log file. We don't know what you might have missed if we don't have anything to base it on.

I thought MS2's added milliseconds of fuel (injector open time), not percent of fuel - i think the tooltip might be wrong, it's the same wording as the MS3 version which does work on percentage scaling instead of time addition, it makes sense to cap it at 25ms, you don't have very long to inject fuel.

at idle you're at about 2ms, so for 100% more fuel, you'd add 2ms. (and more as revs increase)

"Fuel: Accel Enrich" in MegaLogViewer will tell you how many % extra fuel has been added for an AE event (PW and Duty Cycle are also good to have visible)

in your log at 149 seconds you can see an AE "event" - it starts out at 2.7ms Pulse Width, AE engages and there's 14.2ms of fuel, with 362% extra fuel from AE.

also, do you have a wideband? your AFR is always 7.5 in the log.
