That Fiat looks really nice (and very small). Will be interesting to see how it ends up.

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
my white stripes have arrived from the usa so yesterday with the help of my 6 year old grandson we removed the old black ones.
wife only took the one photo of both of us doing it. no wonder you get up in the morning with the shits looking at that . friggin big gut hanging out just for starters
I gotta do something about that! fatboy bunter
aka fbb
anyway the apprentice got a bit too slap happy on the job and after a while lost concentration and had to give him the dismissal - just like gough
anyway I plan to finish it off myself and put the new stripes on later this week. I may even run some new colour too. not sure about that as yet
after buying the white abarth 595 I am not 100% happy with the SE in red and I think I will go back to my previous paint job of the artic white come this spring. one of the main reason I went for the new colour change was the artic white was showing it's age and was not up to standard.
I actually learnt a bit from this last re-spray especially on the clear coat side of things and I think I can put that to good use on the new and final saga on the long running SE paint project
although it's gonna take a bit of effort to rub out all that clear and red paint
I could end up losing a few kgs there

so back out today to take some final photos before autumn is finish in this area. here's what 10 days difference makes. abarth when the trees were in full swing and at their very best and today looking across at the same area and as the saying goes - all the leaves are gone - and not worthy of a photo.

Great colours

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Where do you order those stripes from? How's the pricing? I've thought about similar stripes for my car.

Re: billybunters - from a bmw z4 to a mx5 se
well the guy who I had draw them up here in Australia wanted $270 to supply and fit the side stripes but when I thought it over I decided it was a bit on the steep side. I then contacted stripe garage in the usa and got them for USA $35 for the pair plus USA $10 postage and paid via paypal. probably about AU$65
here's what I would do if you were going to do them yourself and to cover your A$$. buy 3 stripes in total.if you stuff one up you still have a reserve to fall back on. I actually stuffed up my black one and I don't know how but for some friggin reason applied it the wrong side up and totally stuffed it
so it can happen
while I was at it I also bought a set of RED stripes for the ABARTH with no added cost to the postage. just in case in the near future I decide to change the black side stripes to red
I found the stripes good quality and pretty easy to fit so i'd buy off him again

forgot to mention he has ready had stripes in all different combo's for all the mx5 models and you can add your own text too - so that's pretty good.

+1
The black stripes looked too drab whereas the white stripes do stand out.
On the white Fiat I think the black stripes look better though - more contrast.
