This year the Australian Supersprint Championships are at Morgan Park over 18 & 19 November.
Is anyone else from NSW, Vic, elsewhere thinking of making the trip? Maybe convoy up? Is Morgan Park worth a looong drive? Are there any events on the adjacent weekends that might help 'justify' the trip?
Let the discussion begin ...

Re: 2017 Australian Supersprint Championships
Where is Morgan Park?
Aust Championship is over 2 days?
Is it a club/teams thing like the NSW supersprint?
Same classes as NSW supersprint?

Re: 2017 Australian Supersprint Championships
Morgan Park is at Warwick in Queensland and the Nationals are run over two days. Unfortunately it's the same weekend as the MX-5 Club trackday at SMP South with the presentation night afterwards. So my original thought was that'll be a definite "no" from me. But I'm now giving it second thoughts. I've not dríven Morgan Park and from what I've seen it is an excellent track for MX-5s. It's a shorter drive for me than Phillip Island. Tempting!

Same weekend as Challenge Bathurst as well.
Morgan Park has lots of different track layouts, all with different character. I've dríven up from Newcastle a few times now and never done the same track twice ! I have always enjoyed the trip, would recommend.

Um, just realised 18 Nov is the NSW/VIC interstate challenge. I'll definitely be in for that. So that means I'm out for the Nationals at Morgan Park.

Re: 2017 Australian Supersprint Championships
Bit of a big weekend for motorsport it seems.
Now, if the Challenge was at PI, difficult choice , I have yet to run the racecar there but sooo want to . But South, that makes the choice simple!
Interesting that none of our Northern cousins seem interested, hopefully that changes. Magpie should be into this like a rat up a drainpipe
It has been suggested that the best way up is via the Pac and then Summerland Way/Mt Lindsay Rd, anyone done this route?

I could be interested in this. Will need to look into the regulations, as I have no idea what class my car would fit into.

Unless you know someone at the Warwick club, this MIGHT give you a steer. These are the new-for-2017 tech regs for NSW Supersprints, allegedly to harmonise us more closely with CAMS manual for events such as this. But at this stage, your guess is as good as mine.

Re: 2017 Australian Supersprint Championships
Thanks mate. MS3 ecu means Type 2 is out for me so, based on those regs I guess I'd be Type 5 Class 2 (2B Prodsports)
