Is your bias turned too far rearward or are you compression locking the rear wheels? It shouldn't be tweaking the rear wheels or stepping out the rear under brakes like that. You should be able to hit that brake pedal hard and sustained without your hands on the wheel on a smooth track (Please don't actually try that btw!)
With my car, braking in a straight line, I can hit the brakes hard at the limit of traction and all I get is a bit of weight transfer to the front. I'm not fighting the rear unless I'm turning in and trail braking, or on an extremely bumpy track, or my bias is dialed too far to the rear. What you have there makes it really hard to be confident in the car brakes, which means you are braking way earlier than you could be if you could actually brake at the limit.

Madjak, yes the bias was too far to the rear early on, still maybe too much at the moment. Will tweak again on the weekend.
Working on the heel/toe to stop the compression lock ups, may have to change after done all the braking. Again I'll work on this on Saturday..

Thanks StuwieP! Agree most are compression lock ups, I really have been working on getting heel/toe working, maybe I should post more about when I get it right not wrong Some of the rear loosing grip is caused by the 2 way locking up on deceleration, great if you want to initiate a drift.
There is a reason now wear ear plugs when driving it, the noise is very distracting. Earplugs were suggested to me a while ago and I do my best laps when wearing them!

Having to spend more time at home than normal at the moment started to look at the other jobs that I have planned.
Whilst I'm still dealing with lack of skill in the heel/toe department I'm starting to be able to post some consistent lap times. Therefore starting on some planned aero mods.
First up is the spliter. My current one has taken some abuse, however its effectiveness could be improved. What ever happens the current wind deflectors and GV lip will be consigned to the spares pile and maybe reused or sold... Or it could become Plan C and made a single piece that is quick change out...
Plan A - fit a proven spliter and flare the guards to take a much wider tire.
Test fit on the shell to see how well it fits and what adjustments need to be made. When the 10mm socket is not enough the air body saw is a handy tool!

Swapped the red fenders from the shell for some 'rolled by hammer' fenders, so using these for a test fit as well. The fenders will be rolled properly and painted. May even do some aero work on these to get the air out from the wheel arches.

Plan B - fill up the holes with 2 part foam, this way it will be move of an air dam, put some holes for brakes ducts and air intake. Build a carbon spliter and make it quick change so that it can be quickly swapped out to test different setups.

Car home, long chat with Danny about progress and future direction of the car/driver... one of the plans is not moving out of my current Jap Nat class until I can get First in class.
Was offered a great deal on some Nankang AR-1's whilst it is not in my current plan (or budget) to drive on some R Specs, curiosity got the better of me. Will heat cycle them at street sprints them push them at the club track day. Any feedback (cold pressures) on the AR-1's would be appreciated, at the moment starting them at 24 cold target for 28 hot.

Backed up Jap Nats time with a 1:00.4391 (new PB) again on AD08R's, however was in the extra laps time and time does not count towards 'points'...
A critical job has come up that needs attention, the rear wing needs to be stabilised!
AR-1 - heat cycle review
Started them cold 26 and they went FL 32.4 FR 31.6 RL 33.7 RR 31.1
Lap times were 1:04.4440, 1:03.6285, 1:02.7184, 1:01.9994 (excludes in out lap)
Based on the temps (C) , I will set the fronts at 28 and the rears at 29 targeting 33/34 hot. Camber is approx -3.9°F and -3.5°R
FL 47.2 52.2 60.5 (53.9 more pressure required)
FR 62.8 51.7 40.0 (51.4 almost spot on)
RL 57.2 57.2 59.4 (58.3 more pressure required, however temps seem strange)
RR 61.7 51.7 44.4 (53.1 more pressure required)
The quick glance at the surface tyre temps whilst on the track showed them getting to about 79°c when loaded up, but cooling down to about 60 on the straights. I do not log this data...
Will play with the settings at the next club day, however initial feel is that they will be faster...
Fuel Pressure
Had the ECU go into 'limp' mode on the out lap of a session... pressure dropped to 27.5 psi. Stopped on the back straight, wiggled the wires going into the plug... Surprise surprise the pressure was reported as 43.5. Whilst this could be seen as the main problem in the past, it is not as the car was obviously down on power at Lakeside before the surge tank was installed on a few occasions. I have a feeling that the changing of the fuel system has stretched the wires too much. Will re do the pins and keep an eye on it.
