How to transport 4x225/50 15s on 9" wheels

Postby davekmoore » Sat Apr 22, 2017 12:48 am

Yes I can see out of all the mirrors and use the handbrake and gear lever. No, that tyre and wheel combo will not quite fit in the boot. No, I don't care about damaging the interior any more.

All wheels have insides facing out so they can be loaded up with all the items likely to fail at a track day, which in BARMY's case could be anything.

This is excellent. I've been driving on my 225/45 15x8s to the track, but now that I've seen this...

Is the passenger seat still in there?

Surely there's a market for a tyre trailer these days?

Doesn't have to be MX5-specific (apart from the hitch mount on the car - which could be made to help support the mounting of a rear wing; sorry, scope-creep).
Don't worry about dying, worry about not living!
