Pls help me fix my rattly rear view mirror
It's an 04 SE aka NB8C. Poly and delrin bushes all round and race engine mounts mean I generally no longer care about rattles. So I don't care about the rattle on the rear view mirror, but would like it to stay in the same place for more than a couple of minutes at a time and for the view not to be blurred. The whole thing is loose on the screen bracket. There seems to be some kind of fixing that looks like it might be accessible from underneath with the correct tool. But what type of fixing is it and what type of tool and what's the process? Please!!??
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

Re: Pls help me fix my rattly rear view mirror
My rear vision mirror used to rattle around on NB8a.
I used a small flat head screwdriver (tiny) in the hole on the bottom edge to get the mirror off the screen. It slide up.
Once off I could adjust the spring metal tab that locks it in place and keeps the tension on the 2 pieces.
Sorry, no photo's.
It took a little bit of fiddling but it will slide off.

could you replace the spring clip?
Given that video I posted was a Mazda 6 it seems at least one other mazda shares the same type of mount.
