That mod is for a SP, not a SE if it is the one I think you are referring to.
You asked this a couple of posts down already in someone else's SP thread which was answered on the 3rd post straight after yours.

SE's already measures boost after the intercooler.

The only other thing that could be the T modification is putting a Boost Tee (Aka Manual Boost controller) in place of the factory boost control solenoid.
The factory solenoid sits on the front of the rocker cover.
Remove the factory plastic T Piece.
Block the input to the solenoid.
Install the Boost tee between the Wastegate hose and throttle body bleed hose. Boost can then be adjusted up to 11 PSI. Fuel cuts once 11PSI is hit.
You may need to replace the hoses with different diameters depending on the brand of Boost Tee used. I required smaller hose for the Turbosmart one.

Boags wrote:At the moment your turbo takes the boost reading for the actuator from the turbo side of the intercooler piping. This means that after the boost drop of the intercooler the manifold does not see the boost level for which the actuator is set.
By putting in a tee piece in a vac line from the manifold you can get the boost reading after the intercooler - and after the pressure drop. This reading will be 1-2 PSI lower than before the intercooler, so won't open the actuator until later. You are effectively upping the boost by 1-2 PSI, or whatever the pressure loss is across the intercooler. You are still technically running \"stock boost\" because you have not tampered with the actuator.
