Re: Australia's fastest MX5 @ Phillip Island
Phillip island was my first track I ever drove on. Must be 8 years ago now. And it's still my favourite. The NB8B wasn't a built car made to break records, it was just a cheaply assembled MX5. It is now being used as a normal road car. Somebody will go faster, most likely Brendan and myself in our built track cars. When I finally get around to getting my track MX5 on the track, I would expect the time from that car to be the real time to beat. It will happen one day, I am just giving everyone a chance to catch up. ;)

It was apparently around 1:45... I can't remember exactly

Re: Australia's fastest MX5 @ Phillip Island
Hmmmm ...... Even without aero my car should probably be among the fastest MX-5s around PI, and anywhere else for that matter, but only if a decent driver was in it. I am not that decent driver - not enough skill or testicular fortitude. Two properly quick drivers have already ruled themselves out of contention for doing proper laps in it (you know who you are). Of course, there is also at least one other car in preparation which will be a quicker car combined with a quicker driver, and aero. This thread may need updating when that hits the track.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)
