Hi,
Picked up a NA8 from Perth and have changed the plates over to NSW. The previous owner had what appears to be a metal OEM bracket on the rear which is 'H' shaped and the top arms meet up with existing threaded holes in the rear garnish and the horizontal bar has nuts which require two holes drilled into the middle of the number plate (plate screwed to bracket, bracket screwed to rear garnish). Unfortunately the spacing of the rear garnish holes doesn't match the provided holes on NSW number plate (standard yellow/black). Is there a bracket available that doesn't require additional drilling of either the number plate or rear garnish? I've searched around for various installations and from some photos I've seen owners able to use the existing top holes in the plates but not sure if this meant they had to drill additional holes into the rear garnish.
Cheers,
Mike

Re: NA8 rear number plate bracket
My 1993 NA8 was originally delivered to & registered in NSW with the white background & black lettering plates, but has no rear number plate bracket. Original owner, who I bought from, might have taken it off prior to 2004 if it was delivered with one, but I doubt it. I mounted slimline Vic plate to the rear garnish using a couple of spacers so it doesn't touch. Plate is screwed in at top, but from memory I did have to drill the two holes in the number plate as top side holes & top inner holes didn't match garnish.

Is this the bracket?
You might be able to fabricate the bracket or switch to the 89-90 rear garnish panel

Re: NA8 rear number plate bracket
Yeah thanks for the replies, appreciated
Ended up doing as above (appears to be the same bracket I have). The number plate inner holes at the top align with the bracket but unfortunately they're half-way down instead of the top. The bracket mounting holes don't align with any on the plates. Doesn't look as ugly as I'd imagined but was hoping something more along the lines of these -

Tho, I'm guessing either the rear garnish is different to what I have, or if it is the same then additional holes were drilled to accommodate the plate spacing.

Oops, just realised the first photo I linked is a NB was in a hurry replying. Yeah mine is NA8 so the NA6 garnish is different (I understand later NA6 also use the NA8 garnish).
