Paint & dent fix - Brisbane

Postby PatScully » Tue Apr 04, 2017 12:48 pm

Does anyone know a good top quality place where I can get little dings removed and a full paint job?

Cheers

Do you want a closed door respray, colour change, concourse quality or quick/cheap/30 paces warranty?

Are you going to do any of the prep work yourself?

rather than pay that amount of money for a re-spray i'd cash the car and buy another unit. that paint job will cost you a packet of cash. probably not want you want to hear but it's a fact!

even if some-one painted it for free there goes $1500 then add 100 hours work to do it properly..........then again what would I know  well actually quite a bit

No chance mate haha, love my car too much and I've already poured enough money into it, so much so I would
Have to sell it for $13k+ for a profit, she is my baby and I want her perfect, so I'm willing to put any money into it for the paint to be perfect

Remember babies grow up to become teenagers, very quickly test your patience and cease to be 'cute' at some point. Lower your expectations :)

My baby is going to grow into perfection, low expectations lead to failure and disappointment. I'm not about to disappoint me or my car, I will have it how I want it. No matter how long it takes me.

Quite common for white NA6 factory paint to peel, so he may have been trying fix that.

Yeah I looked it up and it is common, however it's clearly a shitty resorts job ontop. So looking to make it all brand new. But thank you for your comment :))

Low expectations PREVENT failure and disappointment. You sound like a project manager I once knew...

You seem a little pessimistic at the moment, Magpie!

I dream of having my car painted and smoothed and dent free. But I shudder at the cost. Maybe one day once it's no longer a daily driver subject to a life of parking lots and peak hour. And only after more pressing desires are satiated (such as POWA)

Yeah the cost sucks. But just think about it, all perfect, shiny, smooth, just how we want it. I hope you get your car to level you want it :)

No more than normal! I'm in NZ my car is in QLD, left QLD when it was raining arrived in NZ and it has not stopped raining.. Hopefully Sunday it will be dry and I can get down to Hampton Downs to watch some club racing and hopefully make some contacts for getting seat time whilst over here...

I have a few sets of these at home :)
