Rear bumper cut - who's good at it in Melbourne

Postby lucmor444 » Fri Mar 31, 2017 10:20 am

Thinking about doing this on my car.

I appreciate I could possibly do this myself but I expect my tools and skills would make a hack of it. I also assume any reputable panel beater could do it but am interested in recommendations from any forum members who have had it done for them in Melbourne (preferably in the Eastern suburbs area).

If you do take this job to someone else, make sure that you provide pictures of "the cut" you want since it's very subjective (ie. what looks good to them may not look good to you).

IMO, some bumper cuts on DD cars go too far, the more subtle cuts look better and won't be subject to defects (cops will be more likely to pull you over if you have a drastic bumper cut since it's obvious that the car has been modified).

Thx Lokiel

I agree - both in being subtle and providing clear instructions (I would actually tape/mark my cut line). I am also contemplating just some rectangular slots in the bar.
