I have an NB Sp. was wanting to tidy up engine bay and some people remove charcole canister. Is there an issue to the engine if I do this. I have removed mine have no codes or engine light issues.
I just want to know if it's ok and won't harm the engine.

I find it hard to believe that a 10-20 year old filter will still be effective.
I removed mine on my NA and noticed no differences besides a cleaner engine bay.
NB's might get a CEL
