So awesome to see your driving Patchy more.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Don't know what possesses me to drive up the Opld pic in the pouring rain.
Purely for the data logging purposes.....
Fuel consumption is considerably less.

You're suffering from MX5 Piloting Deprivation Anxiety (MPDA). This is normal in MX5 owners who have been unable to drive their MX5, and can affect some people in a little time as one week without driving their MX5.
Symptoms include:
- Getting cranky at other cars you drive because they're not your MX5
- Gazing longingly at your MX5 while you can't drive it
- Dreaming about your MX5
- Washing your MX5 even though it's already clean
- Driving your MX5 for 100+kms just to get milk when you can drive it again
- Returning home without milk, and going for another 100kms
I recommend going to the support group speed is organising, you will get to drive your MX5, and there will be other sufferers there who are going through the same thing.

I've been diagnosed.
Can I get any compensation as an invalid suffering from MPDA?

I'm currently laying the ground-work to make a Worker's Comp Claim due to work interfering with my MX5 Piloting Time, inducing MPDA - I'll let you know how it goes!
My next step is to take a photo of my dash/steering wheel and set it as my desktop picture at work, then sit at my desk making engine noises and pretending to turn the steering wheel instead of doing work....
The best part: I can't get in trouble if I don't pull over to let them into my Car-bicle! If they try, I'll just yell "get off the road you bloody idiot! the road is for cars!" and keep driving.
It's an absolutely fool-proof plan!

Can I get any compensation as an invalid suffering from MPDA?
Studies have shown that compensation for MPDA only creates a spiraling decline in the patient.
Increasing patient funds leads to further spending for "essential parts" for the patients most dearest.
Theses parts take time to fit and make work, leading to less time driving, adding to an increase in MPDA, and further decline in the patient.
Cheers

MPDA has been shown to go into remission when patient funds have been exhausted and your dearest is drivable
There is hope STM

Fuel line arrived today.
I ended up ordering AN-6. While it appears this is too thin.....it's not.
Tossing up over some fancy line terminator clamps but not sure if I CBF.....
The decision....black or polished alloy..... gawd.
Other problem is they come from China & go via Pluto to here.

China has the cheapest but slowest postage. This is due to the Chinese post doing bulk deliveries (they fill the container with items before moving them on, rather than each item at a time like here).

Re: Patchy's Fawlty Towers risk management. Enter at own risk
My 3rd tank of E85.
First tank probably had a few liters of 98 so with the 2nd tank I found it was running a little lean. That was adjusted. With the 3rd tank which was almost empty I didn't feel or notice much difference.
I received the Braided Teflon fuel line on Monday AN-6 200 series. Still waiting on the Valve guide seals.
I've hit 91% duty Cycle with the OEM injectors at High Loads & RPM. I'm looking at sourcing some NB8B injectors.Or some 355 cc from the Toyota Supra?. Depends on how cheap I can get the NB8B injectors for. I also need to figure out if the NB8B make enough difference. Maybe someone here can educate me.
I figure that 35 cc is like 15% more. which should take the maximum Duty down to somewhere close to 75%
The other part is that Ive only hit this a few times. 90% of my driving is below 50% duty so its not urgent....but probably needs to be done. Let me know If my thinking is in the correct direction.
This coming weekend I intend to check the fuel tank & check how much Crap & dirt has been stirred up. I installed a fresh Fuel filter recently and have 1 on hand to replace when appropriate.
E85 has made Patchy just a little more perky......Not a huge difference....but it makes me feel warm & fuzzy on the inside using E85. I'm lucky I have 3 Stations locally who keep it. 1 near work. 2 near my house.

Supra's were 305cc & Familia GTX was 360cc versus 265cc of NB8B.
