Issue today

Postby roshmx5 » Sun Mar 19, 2017 7:33 pm

Hi Members today I was having a spirited run in my SP up a mountain and towards the top I noticed my tacho went from 4K up to about 6k and I wasn't on the accelerator. Is this normal or is my clutch on the way out.

Were you changing down a gear at the time?

Check your wiring under the dash if you have an alarm installed. Chances are, it's been butchered & the wiring is affecting it. Wires touching where they are not supposed to be. ask me how I know.

Did the engine note change as well or was this an instrument indication only? If the noise increased as well as the tacho indication, then you probably have a slipping clutch.
