MX5 cars, coffee & Nasho run - Sat 8 april
Hi all,
A few of us have been talking about getting together and driving through Audley national park and stopping off at stanwell tops (bald hill) to park the cars and grab a coffee and or something to eat.
Should be a great opportunity to talk cars and meet some people as well as drive through some twisties on the way there.
To beat the traffic, I propose that we start out early. The cafe at bald hill opens at 8am and the earlier we get there the better the chance of securing parking spots. Hopefully we can get a few side by side.
Bald hill has recently been revamped with a new lookout, toilet block, cafe and parking lot.
If you've never been there, it's where the hang gliders take off and there is also many different styles of bikes to admire. Also, the scenery is beautiful.
The meeting point will be Sylvania McDonald's.
I plan to be there at 7am and leave at 7.30am sharp!
Everyone is welcome to attend.
We don't want any negative attention, so please be aware that burnouts or any kind of anti social driving will not be tolerated.
Let's see how many cars we can get, the more the merrier.
I know it's an early start for some but should be worth it.
Fell free to reply here or comment on any ideas or suggestions that you may have.
Fingers crossed that the weather is great.
Regards,
Steve

Should see if we can get Billy down here for that. Would be awesome to show off his car to the Sin City crowd. If he hasn't sold it by then.

STM it will be a trip down memory lane for me- I grew up in the Shire area and the nasho cruise was a regular feature in my 20's! Really looking forward to hooking up with you all- so long as I can keep some heat in the yoko's there should be little attention seeking squealing from the Problem Child!!

Crikeys ..... before we go there..... and before any chest beating starts. I dive like Miss Daisy.....just so you know.
Soo you're a former hobbit..... with the southern cross tattoed on your large feet. now the chest beating has really started
I wonder if we ever crossed paths. When were you in your 20's ?

That was in the late 80's to late 90's STM- I romper stomped old Sydney town from the gong to the northern silvertail suburbs, playing loud grunge, metal & punk music through various car speakers, sporting buzz cuts, mohawks and long Robert Plant/Jimmy paige hair do's at various times- If you ever drove through the Rockdale suburbs in the mornings you may have seen me throwing bins around the back of Colemans garbo trucks.........the best job I ever had

I'll have to see what the roster says when it's posted on Thursday but hope to make it!
