NB 2 post Hoist lifting points HELP

Postby wasp47 » Fri Mar 10, 2017 11:40 am

A naïve question
When lifting the NB with a two post hoist do you use the 4 pinch welds. I have searched, lots of info on floor jacks and stands but none on 2 post hoists .
Cheers

Yes. I like to put a small block of wood under so as not to bend the sill. You may find that the car sit on the arm, not the pad. If your hoist arms are fairly short pad might work.

I can take a picture for you if you like but won't be in the short term (no Mx5 on hoist in short term!)

They'll be fine on the pinch welds.

The pads are a lot wider than floor Jack pads, and are normally a flat rubberised surface, so the load is spread out and normally won't bend or dent the pinch weld.
