Buzzer NB

Hi is there a way to stop buzzer warning for key indignation door open, but leave buzzer to warn if you have left your lights on. Own a NB.

Trace the sound to the buzzer under the driver's kick panel and unplug it.

I'm pretty sure it's the same as the 323/Laser.
There is a small two wire plug on the ignition lock cylinder that can be unplugged to silence it.
I can't 100% remember if it just stopped just the door buzzer or if it killed the headlight warning as well.

Remove the trim ring from the ignition lock, remove the 4 screws that hold the clamshell cover from the steering column (remember which hole the machine threaded screw came out of) Split the clamshell and remove just the lower section. You will then be able to see all of the harnesses.
Disconnect the two wire connector and test before reassembling. It is a white small connector, usually wrapped with a sheet of adhesive backed 3mm foam.

It helps to pull the driver's seat out while you're looking for it. The 2 1/2 minutes it takes you to undo the 4 bolts and pull the set will save you a lot of agony and allow easy access under the steering column ;)

Crazy simple and the best mod you'll ever do.

Take off the steering wheel column trim.
- 2 screws on the large flat panel that you always hit your knees on.
- 3screws on the bottom side of the clam around the steering column (remember which screws came from where. one is slightly different)
- The clam clips into itself, pry the top and bottom parts apart and remove.

On the passenger side of the column theres a small white plug (next to a big yellow plug - this is the airbag, don't unplug that)
Put your keys in the ignition and unplug white connector. Rejoice in the silence.

The buzzer will still sound if you leave your headlights on.

To take it one step further, reach under the seat and disconnect the plug going to the seat belt stalk.
No more seat belt beeping either!!

I can't find the connector I have two green wires coming out of ignition and two white wires. Have disconnected them goth still buzzing.

I can't describe which one it was, but I just kept unplugging & re-plugging connectors until it turned off, then I taped it up out of the way.

I'll see if I can spot it for you at lunch time if you're still struggling.

Thanks so much I did the same unplugged what I could see, I own a 2002 SP. still was beeping.

Sitting in the drivers seat, imagine the ignition is on the left side. Where you'd put the key in on the left side is where the plug is.
