You must enjoy the way the car drives
I've only got 128kw @ the wheels
I love the way it drives
Like a stock standard mx5 with double the power
You don't want a lag monster
It's the smile it puts on your face
That's the smile dyno

Exactly the older I get the less dyno numbers mean

MK,
It was never laggy, even with a super rich autotune.
So what about your suspension settings?

Haha. You made me laugh.

Even though I wasn't supposed to be driving it, I drove it a couple of suburbs on Sunday to visit my parents and specifically show my dad.

Dad restores vintage cars. I popped the bonnet and fatherSpeed commented on how it all looked like it was supposed to be there and could have been from factory. I don't agree entirely but was pleased with his comments.

On the way home I passed not one but three police cars in different areas. They did not even bat an eye.

Sorry boys. Seems this drive will take longer than expected.. so behave back there!

Won't be ready today and tuner is not in tomorrow, which means I won't get it back until Friday :(

Sucks as I already arranged to leave work early today and have an external course on FBT all day Friday which I won't be able to leave early for.

Hopefully Mrs Speed can leave early Friday to collect.

That sucks mate. At least they aren't doing a half job and calling it done. Did they get a start on it?

Sorry, at work so not quoting but yes they got a start on it. Started tune from scratch, idle settings etc. He also wants to redo cold start settings Friday. Wish I could see it on the dyno or at least a video.

Friday meet. I'll be too busy becoming familiar with it but cool to attend any meet after the weekend :)

That's awesome steve, sounds like they are through some of the time consuming small stuff, with my microtechs that all took time, I am looking forward to playing with the megasquirt platform a little.
We are all hoping for at least a video.

I believe the setup is done and now it needs dyno time and boost settings.

Contacted my wife to let her know I won't be leaving work early and will meet her and she said 'you won't be going Choo Choo tonight!'

Oh, there will be video!
Tell me what you guys want and I'll do my best with a phone camera :)

Roll on acceleration say 60 to 100kph in say third would be cool.
Will show how much faster than ours it is
