The headunit is a sony headunit (el cheapo one)
Im pretty sure there are standard speakers in the car.
Any clues and gueses was to what it is and how to get rid of it?
Check your head units earth-- the black wire, this should go direct to a clean steel part of the car, ideally a eye terminal bolted down... also check the speaker wires are correct and not going to earth....
