Motorkhana this Sunday 12/2/17

The 2017 Inter-club Challenge gets underway this weekend, with Motorkhana at Willowbank on Sunday 12/2/17.
You need a CAMS Level 1 or higher license to compete in this event. You need a CTP extension too, so although you can enter on the day, you do need to plan ahead.

If you just want to go and have a bit of fun, the Holden Club is also running a Come'n'try Motorkhana on the same day. This is intended for first timers and juniors (over 12) and is perfect for learner drivers. Come'n'try events can be completed on a CAMS Day license,and these can be organised on the day, at relatively low cost. CTP required.

Motorkhana is a series of low speed driving tests, mostly conducted in 1st or Reverse gear. It is 20-40 seconds of the extremely intense concentration required to negotiate deceptively complex courses quickly. You push the limits of yourself and your machinery, and have the opportunity to develop at-the-limit skills that are useful at any speed. Got my CTP. Guess I'm gonna go. It's going to be steaming at Willowbank on Sunday. I am already looking forward to jumping in the pool after my non-airconditioned drive home on Sunday.
