You were right. Drain pipe fitting was blocked!
Was the last thing I took off the t25 as I was switching parts across.

Any chance my T25 is still okay?

Im not a turbo expert, but I'd say it should be OK considering it was well lubricated with oil when it was running, good to see you found the problem quickly !!

Swapped some studs out from the other turbo, clocked the new turbo slightly as it wasn't lining up perfect with my IC piping.

Removed the turbo again (I've lost count how many times it's been off and on now), painted the trimmed rail flap to prevent rust.

I used this coz it says red on the can. Not the same red as the car but good enough for now since it's in a section you don't see.

Put it all back together.
Turbo still needs more clocking and one of the studs is about 2mm short!

When my new gaskets arrive I'll fix both of those issues.

Also ran my wide band under the stereo and the sensor feeds through the shifter hole.

Now stopping for a late lunch and a drink and later I'll recalibrate the wide band and refit the tombstone and centre console.

Wideband calibrated, interior back together, stud issue fixed, thermo fan earthed until I can get a replacement loom side plug.

Running wise I just need to clock the turbo slightly.

Whats left to do before rego? Weld in the fittings after the air filter for BOV plumb back and catch can, refit the middle timing cover, fit my soft top and I'd also like to sort out a heat shield before I melt the paint off my bonnet.

Initial impression is that the turbo is not too laggy until it popped the cooler pipe off the turbo.

It's not the clamps, it's the fact that the turbo needs to be clocked more so that its online with the intercooler pipe. Then it will clamp better.

What happened to it and how long did it last?

Will fit the gaskets tomorrow and clock the turbo to match the IC piping. Once everything is back together I'll fit the beenie.

Its the turbo beanie I'll be needing, mine is starting to look a little ratty :?
I replaced one of the gaskets a while ago..... haven't got the details on hand of what (crappy) brand I had and what I had it replaced with, but this one lasted a whole 10,000ks
Hope the IC piping and clocking marry up without dramas mate
